USF Tampa / USFSM
Developing a New Faculty Led Program
First Steps for your New Program
If you are interested in proposing a new program for USF Tampa, please speak to your department chair first. Proposals are submitted to the Education Abroad office from each college’s dean’s office via the department chair. Close coordination with your chair is central to ensure programs meet the academic needs of the department and college as well as being part of a coordinated effort to meeting the department’s global aspirations. New program proposal deadlines are normally the end of January for the following academic year. If you are registering other international travel involving students (conferences, presentations, etc.) in accordance with USF’s International Travel Policy, please contact GlobalTravel@usf.edu. If you are from USF Sarasota/Manatee OR USF Health the process is slightly different, please follow the link(s) to the right. |
Faculty Led Proposal Next Steps
The University of South Florida Education Abroad Office (EAO), in partnership with USF academic and administrative units and colleges, are strongly encouraging students to study abroad during their academic career. The faculty-led program model allows students to go abroad with a group of fellow students, with whom they can share the hands-on experience of doing activities they cannot do in an on-campus classroom. If you would like to facilitate a Faculty Led Program please find a description of all our program options we currently offer in the links to the right. |
Submitting a Proposal
Once our office knows what program type will best suit your study abroad experience, you will need to submit a proposal and other supporting documentation for approval. The links to the right will guide you through this process. If at anytime you are having difficulties please contact our office and we can assist. |
